当研究所のステレオカートリッジを使っています。

今回はチャイコフスキーの1812年です。テラーク盤と呼ばれる悪名高い盤です。

そうです、溝のカッティングが規格外。裸眼で見てもその振幅の大きさがわかるほど。

針飛びしてまともに聴けないということもあったそうです。

この溝の部分には本物の大砲の音を使っています。もちろん、一般の演奏会では本物の大砲は使いません。

それ故に、オーディオマニアは針飛びせずに再生できることに情熱的に取り組もうとしました。

Now, We're playing 1812 by Tchaikovsky. Label is Tearc.

This record was manufactured as an off-specification product.

The grooves are much wider and louder than usual.

The reason why was owing to the real sounds of canons.

In real concerts, orchestras won't use real canons.

Though it often embarassed audio enthusiasts, they tried to play well with t

heir many efforts.
