WE 618A, 618B vs BV-33 MC transformer

WE 618A, 618B …WEと付けばWesternElectric。

高価な伝説の名機、素晴らしい音質と皆が仰ぎ見ます。WEには映画館システムもあれば電話もあればモニターシステムもある。

一方でBV-33は…どこのメーカー？から始まり、NEUMANNですよ、と答えてもピンとこない人は多い。玄人好み。レコードカッティングマシンのメーカーにして検聴等の主要な役割を担って来たことが案外知られていない。

この2台、昨年のお客様訪問の際、お客様から聴き比べをしたいというリクエストにお応えして聴き比べをしました。

お客様のWE618A, 618Bと私のBV-33。

果たしてどんな違いがあるだろう…？

ひとしきりお客様のWE618を聴いてからBV-33に差し替え。

興味津々レコードに針を下ろす…。

あれ⁉︎

ほお〜！

結果は…差がないなぁ…でした。

しかも中身が同じか⁉︎というぐらいに。

聞くところによると 618Aの中身は何種類かあるとかないとか(知らんけど)。

WE 618Bはコピー品はあるようですが再生産品は聞きません。

逆にBV-33はコピー品は聞きませんが再生産品はあります。

コピーは本来の製造者以外が作った真似た物。

再生産品は本来の製造者が改めて作ったもの。

ロット違いと考えて頂ければと思います。

当方にはBV-33の再生産品があと数セットありますのでご希望の方はご連絡ください。これが最後です。

今、再生産を頼むと…目が飛び出るような恐ろしい値段になると思います。

On the other hand, if we say "NEUMANN", people say "What?" They don't know NEUMANN produced cutting machines and more.

We listened to some records with the both transformers, WE618 by WE and BV-33 by NEUMANN in customer's home.

The difference is ... oh!

What is happen?

Both sounded almost the same.

As if the two transformers are the same.

Unbelievable!

A man said there were some manufacturers of WE618B transformers. Another words, not the same transformers. I'm not sure if it's true or not.

Someone made some kinds of WE618B replicas.

BV-33 had been only reproduced by the same factory. They aren't replicas but genuine.

If you want BV-33, please feel free to ask me . We have some sets of new old stocks of BV-33.

most of them were chemical blacked. It means the silver round cases are blackening for antioxid ization.
