Beginners, experts, etc.

What should a beginner buy? I sometimes see posts on social media. This is not limited to audio, but seems to be exchanged about all sorts of things.

I've seen this when people start playing guitar, using fountain pens, taking pictures, riding bikes, smoking pipes, etc. It's fine if you can solve your worries or questions by asking questions, but there are some people who can't decide for themselves and just want someone to give them the right answer, or just want others to evaluate them. To be honest, I'm not very impressed. It would be fine if they tried it once with faith and reevaluated the results themselves.

Now, when we think of beginners, we think of people who have just started something, but I think that people who don't have their own standards and don't make their own judgments are beginners no matter how many years they spend or how much money they spend. This is because they don't have their own axis = they don't have a sense of self = they don't have a direction. This is especially common when you're young, and I used to think that if I put together equipment that was highly rated in audio magazines, I would get good sound. However, when I listened to it at an audio shop, it didn't sound good at all. Then enthusiasts say things like, "It's because the settings aren't good... they don't know how to use it..." Well, I said that too.

It's true, but there was a problem before that. What if those devices didn't produce a sound that I felt was good in the first place (this leads to the first story).

Making this kind of judgment is like declaring something that goes against magazines and reviews, so it takes some courage. But it would be strange to try to convince yourself that something is good just because everyone around you says it is good, even if you don't like it.

I don't think it will turn out very well if you spend a lot of money without being careful about this. You may buy famous equipment, but it may not be a satisfactory set.

There's nothing wrong with being a beginner. Don't get me wrong. What's wrong is not listening to your own senses. Just because someone says something is good doesn't necessarily lead you to happiness. I think this applies not only to audio, but to everything.

Whether you ask for advice from reviews or shops, or choose a manufacturer or product, it will be difficult to be satisfied if you follow someone who doesn't suit you. When it comes to sensory things, I think the best and fastest step is to follow your instincts and improve with each experience, although it will take time.
